This book was about a servant's loyalty. She finds herself needing a new position because of loyalty to her first lady. The new wife has her own trusted maid. So she is sent off to a new employer with a new wife, in a new household, with new expectations. Her new employer expects her to be loyal to him and help reign in his wild, ladylike wife, but she feels her loyalty should be to the lady she is actually serving. Especially when she learns the her ladyship is subjected to spankings like a misbehaving child. She feels a sense of duty to protect her bum from his lordship's discipline. The Lord makes sure to keep both his wife and maid in line with some hands on correction when needed. Story was a little on the short side, but good overall.Product details

This is such a great story and I so enjoyed it. I wish it would have been longer because I didn't want it to end! I am hoping for a sequel!
Ella was raised to be in service and has served well. Now she is in a new home and the situation has changed. She has to decide what is more important to listen to the one she directly serves or her husband. And now there is the head of the staff and how does he fit it. I really like the romance of the story deals with those in service together and not one of those servant/Lord of the manor plots.
